The Complete ARRMA Truck Guide — Every Model and What It's Built For

I sell more ARRMA trucks than anything else in the shop. Not because I push them — because they earn it. After 30 years behind the counter, I've seen brands come and go, and ARRMA came in and became a mainstay within just a few years. They've got a good mix of everything: a true hobbyist car that's easy enough for a rookie to run, with the durability, performance, and parts availability to back it up. That combo is hard to beat.

But ARRMA makes a LOT of models, and customers are always asking me "which one should I get?" So here's the full breakdown — what each truck does, who it's for, and when I recommend it.

GRANITE — The Monster Truck That Starts Everything

This is where most people begin, and honestly, it's where most people SHOULD begin. The Granite is a 4WD monster truck with big tires that grip everything. It's the most versatile truck in the lineup — you can bash it in the yard, hit the park, take it to the beach, and it just handles everything you throw at it.

The GRANITE 223S 4X4 Brushless at $339.99 is the one I put most people in. Brushless motor means real speed and efficiency. DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) helps beginners keep it straight. 4WD means traction on grass, dirt, gravel — everything.

SENTON — The Short Course Truck

The Senton looks like those desert racing trucks you see in the Baja 1000. Lower center of gravity than the Granite, which means it's more stable at speed and handles corners better. Same 4WD brushless platform, just a different body style and lower ride height.

If someone tells me they want to do more driving and less jumping, the Senton is the call. It's also a little easier to control for beginners because it doesn't flip as easily as a tall monster truck.

TYPHON — The Speed Buggy

The Typhon is for the speed demons. It's a 1/8 scale 4WD buggy — lower, sleeker, and built to go FAST. This thing is a proper racing platform that also happens to be tough enough for bashing. On a smooth surface, the Typhon is one of the fastest things in the ARRMA lineup.

I recommend this to people who already have one truck and want something different, or to anyone who says "I just want speed."

QUAKE — The 2WD Monster

The Quake is the newest in the lineup and it fills a gap that needed filling — an affordable brushless 2WD monster truck. Two-wheel drive means it's lighter, and lighter means you can make it go FAST. Put a 2S in it and it's fun. Put a 3S in it and it's a rocket ship. Best bang for your buck for real speed.

OUTCAST — The Stunt Truck

The Outcast is what happens when ARRMA says "what if we made something that's designed to get air?" This is a 4S truck — more power than the 3S models, bigger, heavier, and built specifically for catching huge air and landing it. The suspension is tuned for jumps, and the truggy-style body gives it a unique look.

This is an intermediate-to-advanced truck. If you're new, start with a Granite. If you've been in it for a while and you want something that flies, this is your machine.

INFRACTION — The Street Basher

This is ARRMA's on-road speed machine at the 3S level. It looks like a street car, it drives like a street car, and on pavement it's absolutely insane. If you've got a big parking lot or a smooth road with no traffic, the Infraction will put a permanent grin on your face.

Not a great grass truck — this is purpose-built for hard surfaces. But on its home turf, nothing touches it for fun.

NOTORIOUS 6S — The 1/8 Scale Beast

Now we're in the big leagues. The Notorious is a 1/8 scale, 6S stunt truck. It weighs significantly more than the 3S trucks and it's got the power to match. Watch your ankles with this one — if a 6S truck hits you, it WILL knock you off your feet and it WILL hurt. I'm not kidding.

But the performance is absolutely insane. This thing gets air that you have to see to believe. If you've graduated from a 3S truck and you're ready to level up, the Notorious is the reward.

LIMITLESS 8S — The Top Speed Machine

If "how fast can an RC car go?" is your question, this is your answer. The Limitless is ARRMA's 1/7 scale speed run car, and on 8S power it's capable of 100+ mph. This is not a beginner truck. This is not even an intermediate truck. This is for the person who has everything else dialed and wants to chase triple-digit speeds.

You need a massive open space to run this thing safely. It's incredible, it's terrifying, and it's the coolest flex in the ARRMA lineup.

The Mini Lineup — Small Scale, Big Fun

ARRMA also makes 1/16 scale versions for people who want the ARRMA experience in a smaller package. The Mini KRATON 3S at $299.99-$339.99 is a pocket-sized version of the legendary 6S truck, and it absolutely rips for its size. Great for smaller yards, indoor tracks, or as a travel truck.
